1,Cause Analysis of Damage

(1) The main trough is under the combined action of periodic high-speed, high-temperature molten iron and a large amount of corrosive slag,The main part of erosion is slag line part,two concave grooves appeared.the other parts are less damaged.the erosion of the lower wire area is mainly caused by mechanical erosion of molten iron, while the slag line area is mainly caused by oxidative decarbonization and chemical erosion.

(2) The main reason for the spalling of product structure is that the groove lining is heated on one side in the process of use.There is a temperature gradient in the product, and the strength of the product changes at different temperatures.Unbalanced organizational structure leads to structural exfoliation under thermal shock.

2,Solutions

(1)Reasonable control of material matrix composition, high Aluminization of matrix, volume expansion, offset sintering shrinkage, so as to make the volume change of sintering layer, transition layer and protoplasm layer as much as possible, and reduce the structure spalling.

(2)Reasonable control of the sintering strength and thermal expansion coefficient of the product to ensure anti-erosion and anti-spalling requirements.

(3)The low cement Al2O3-SIC-C fast drying castable with corundum, silicon carbide and asphalt as main raw materials satisfies the application requirements well.
